To provide a steel material having a corrosion-preventive layer which prevents a corrosion-preventive layer from being peeled from an end face even after elapse of time.SOLUTION: A steel material (14) having a primer layer (16) and a corrosion-preventive layer (18) installed in a predetermined range of a surface of the primer layer includes an epoxy resin layer (20) installed between the primer layer and the corrosion-preventive layer in an end region of the corrosion-preventive layer. Preferably, an edge part fixing member (22) for fixing the corrosion-preventive layer or the epoxy resin layer to the steel material is further provided on a predetermined edge part of the corrosion-preventive layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
