To provide an additive for a cationic asphalt emulsion which suppresses asphalt adhesion after construction and is unlikely to form agglomerates in the emulsion by adding into a cationic asphalt emulsion.SOLUTION: There is provided an additive for a cationic asphalt emulsion which contains polymer particles, wherein the polymer particles contain an acrylic rubber. The polymer particles include a core layer and a shell layer located outside of the core layer, the core layer is the acrylic rubber and the shell layer may be formed from a non-cross-linked polymer. The non-crosslinked polymer may have a glass transition temperature of 50°C or more and may contain a poly(alkylene glycol) chain.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】カチオン系アスファルト乳剤に対して添加することで、施工後のアスファルト付着が抑制され、かつ乳剤中に凝集物が生じにくい、カチオン系アスファルト乳剤用添加剤の提供。【解決手段】カチオン系アスファルト乳剤用添加剤は、重合体粒子を含み、前記重合体粒子は、アクリル系ゴムを含む。前記重合体粒子は、コア層と、該コア層の外側に位置するシェル層を含み、前記コア層が、前記アクリル系ゴムであり、前記シェル層は、非架橋の重合体から形成されるものであってよい。また、前記非架橋の重合体は、ガラス転移温度が５０℃以上であってもよく、（ポリ）アルキレングリコール鎖を含んでよい。【選択図】なし
