To provide a ground improvement device capable of securely reducing excess pore water pressure over hydrostatic pressure upon construction of a sand pile and shortening construction hours.SOLUTION: A ground improvement method for constructing a sand pile by repeating discharge and driving-back of sand pile material S when penetrating a casing pipe 20 in a ground D as rotating the same and pulling out the same includes: arranging a long-groove-shaped concave part 21 on the outer periphery of the casing pipe 20 so as to extend in a longitudinal direction Y; receiving discharge material 22 in the long-groove-shaped concave part 21; and sealing openings 21a of the long-groove-shaped concave part 21 having received the discharge material 22 with a lid body 23 having water entering holes 23a, to discharge pore water W to the ground through the discharge material 22 by making the pore water W between underground soil grains enter the inside of the long-groove-shaped concave part 21 from the water entering holes 23a of the lid body 23 upon occurrence of the pore pressure over a hydrostatic pressure during penetration and pulling-back of the casing pipe 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
【課題】砂杭を造成する際に静水圧を超える過剰間隙水圧を確実に低減させることができ、かつ、造成時間の短縮化を図ることができる地盤改良装置を提供する。【解決手段】地盤D中にケーシングパイプ20を回転させながら貫入し、引き抜く際の砂杭材料Sの排出と打ち戻しを繰り返すことで砂杭を造成する地盤改良装置であって、ケーシングパイプ20の外周に長手方向Yに沿って延びるように長溝状の凹部21を設け、この長溝状の凹部21に排水材22を収容し、この排水材22を収容した長溝状の凹部21の開口21aを水浸入孔23aを有する蓋体23で閉塞し、ケーシングパイプ20の貫入・引き抜き時に静水圧を超える間隙水圧が発生した際に、蓋体23の水浸入孔23aから地下の土粒子間の間隙水Wを長溝状の凹部21内に浸入させ、排水材22を介して間隙水Wを地上へ排出するようにした。【選択図】図5
