To provide a lightweight, self-propelled robot that reliably performs seam joining work of folded-plate roofing materials by running by itself at high speed without causing abrasion damage to the folded-plate roofing materials.SOLUTION: A self-propelled robot 100 for seam-joining a folded tightening portion Ruc along the longitudinal direction of a folded-plate roofing material by a seam joining roller portion comprises a driving unit 130 equipped with at least: a support roller portion 133 that is rotatably arranged on a support substrate portion 122 and contacts an upright portion Ruv of the folded-plate roofing material R; a support motor portion 131 that drives the support roller portion; and the seam joining roller portion 136 that is rotatably arranged on an open-close substrate portion 123 and presses the folded tightening portion; and a seam joining motor portion 134 that drives the seam joining roller portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
