To provide a method for constructing a structure that does not require consideration of the placement of reinforcing bars or dismantling and removing formwork after curing of a cement composition.SOLUTION: The method for constructing a structure includes a formwork piece production step of producing formwork pieces 15 containing a fiber-based material, a structural material formwork formation step of joining the formwork pieces 15 at the construction site to form a structural material formwork 16 such as columns and beams, and a cement composition pouring step of pouring a cement composition 17 inside the structural material formwork 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
