According to the present invention, provided is an eco-friendly protection coating composition and a construction method using the same. The composition comprises, on the basis of 100 parts by weight of an acrylic resin: 15 parts by weight of methoxysilane; 15 parts by weight of a water-dispersed polyurethane dispersant; 10 parts by weight of hydroxyethyl cellulose; 15 parts by weight of methyl methacrylate; 6 parts by weight of silicon carbide; 5 parts by weight of sulfone ester; 6 parts by weight of an alkyd resin; 20 parts by weight of 2-diethylaminoethylamine; 3 parts by weight of aluminosilicate; 4 parts by weight of Strontium chromate; 2 parts by weight starch ether; 80 parts by weight of methyl ethyl ketone; 20 parts by weight of calcium carbonate; 13 parts by weight of terephthalic acid metal salt; 2 parts by weight of an isothiazolidine derivative; 3 parts by weight of paraffin; 3 parts by weight of calcium aluminate; 2 parts by weight of sodium fluoride; 5 parts by weight of potassium methylsiliconate; 10 parts by weight of dimethyl ammonium chloride; 10 parts by weight of isobornyl acrylate; 7 parts by weight of plaster; 10 parts by weight of calcination pozzolan; and 20 parts by weight of styrene-butadiene resin. The eco-friendly protection coating composition according to the present invention is eco-friendly since not discharging harmful substances, forms a coating film which is physically and chemically stable on a target surface for forming the coating film, can prevent sea damage and neutralization, and can improve waterproofing, corrosion resistance, and the like.
