An assistance device 150 according to one embodiment of the present disclosure comprises a topographic shape acquisition unit 301 that acquires image data relating to the shape of a processed portion of a processing target, an intended shape estimation unit 302 that estimates the intended shape of the processing target on the basis of the image data acquired by the topographic shape acquisition unit 301, and an intended shape correction unit 304 that corrects the intended shape of the processing target included in the result of estimation by the intended shape estimation unit 302 in response to input by a user.
