CERAMIC SUBSTRATE AND SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE SUBSTRATE COMPRISING SAME
This ceramic substrate contains alumina, zirconia, yttria, and a glassy substance. The glassy substance includes Si, an alkali metal, and O as first components and one or more of Ca, Sr, and Ba as second components. The zirconia content is 5–14 wt%. When A is the value obtained by dividing the concentration in terms of oxides of the alkali metal that is a first component of the glassy substance by the total interfacial distance (grain boundary length) at which Al2O3, ZrO2, and SiO2 are adjacent to each other, B is the concentration in terms of oxides of the Si that is a first component of the glassy substance, and C is the total mass concentration in terms of oxides of the Ca, Sr, and Ba that are second components of the glassy substance, A/(B×C) is no more than 7.1×10-4.
