Field Evaluation of Wabocrete FMV and Ceva Crete 300 Expansion Dam Systems
Poor performance of bridge deck expansion dams is a constant problem for the highway industry. Loss of anchorage and concrete spalling adjacent to the joints are among many other joint problems including loss of watertightness, and surface damage or wear from traffic and snow plows. Two elastomeric concrete materials, developed for use with prefabricated joint systems, are aimed at correcting these particular problems. The purpose of the project is to evaluate the performance of these two expansion dam systems: Wabocrete FMV Elastomeric Concrete and Ceva Crete 300 Expansion Joint System.
