The purpose of the proposed project is to prevent the seepage of saline water from the Main Outlet Drain into the Gila River Pilot Channel and the ground-water table of the South Gila Valley. The proposed project is to line the 8-mile long Main Outlet Drain with concrete. The project is located in Yuma County, Arizona, 5 miles east of the City of Yuma, Arizona. Construction is to be completed during the period July 1972 through May 1973. A brief summary of adverse and beneficial environmental effects is included.
