The objective of the proposed improvement is to provide a high capacity roadway facility which will meet the service requirements of an area located in and near the urban limits of Gering, Terrytown and Scottsbluff in Scotts Bluff County, Nebraska. The improvement of N-71 represents approximately eight miles of highway construction and consists of some two and some four-lane highway, intersections, drainage structures and the possible construction of a new bridge over the North Platte River. Environmental impacts are discussed.
