Design and Analysis of Auburn Dam. Volume Four, Supplement, Dynamic Studies
There are five volumes in this series on the Design and Analysis of Auburn Dam. They have been prepared as a convenient and permanent record of the planning and design decisions involved in the preparation of the specifications for Auburn Dam on the American River near Auburn, California. These five volumes deal only with the double-curvature, concrete arch design concept. This 'Volume Four Supplement' is a supplement containing a portion of the computer results for the six dynamic studies made of Auburn Dam. Also included are normalized modal displacement curves for 30 modes determined at four elevations throughout the dam. These mode shapes correspond to the three reservoir water surface elevations included in the studies.
