Computer control system for small diameter tunneling method (D1200-M2)
A small-diameter tunneling system has been developed whereby tunnels can be constructed without the need for any manual labor within the tunnel itself. In this system all equipment is automatically controlled by a control system, which consists of a central unit and 4 subsystems. Excavation, propulsion and lining processes are controlled by algorithms. The results of a tunnel construction test carried out in the field confirm the practicality of the control system.
