Realistic indoor testing of photovoltaic water pumping systems
Realistic testing of photovoltaic water pumping systems usually can be performed only at the installation site, where the well and piping can be taken into account. The authors present a pump test facility which can be used to investigate varying pumping loads. The properties of the well and plumbing are simulated by pumping in a closed loop and by controlling the pressure at the pump outlet. All important data are monitored by a data acquisition system.
