Tying Knots
When life‐safety ropes and equipment are properly selected, the critical point of potential failure is the knot used to make connections. Knots must be chosen that will make the connection properly without compromising the strength or functionality of the system. These knots can and must be learned and practiced so that they can be tied quickly and correctly every time. Procedures for tying many basic knots are described and demonstrated with helpful illustrations.
