The subject of the final bachelor thesis – load bearing structures of a supermarket in Kaunas. The one-storey building, 24.5 m of width and 44.25 m of length. Land area of a designed building is 3972.38 m2. Final thesis consists of: A part on construction regulation and legal conditions, where legal acts and regulations on construction are named. Architectural part where architectural solutions are discussed and heat resistance of the roof is calculated. Constructional part where stringers, truss and reinforced concrete column are calculated. Technological, organizational and economic parts, where prices of truss installation are compared and truss mounting technology is described. A part on work safety and environmental safety, where work safety and environmental safety required in construction process are elaborated. Constructions were calculated in the work: stringers, a steel truss, a combined truss made of metal and wood, reinforced concrete column, performed economic comparison of trusses and more economic variant is detailed.
