The various elements of the Plan present general development proposals and planning guidelines designed to help implement the citizens' goals and objectives which have been adopted as part of the Plan. Analyses on population, economic trends, existing land use, housing conditions, and other matters are included in this report, and form much of the informational basis for the goals and other elements of the Plan. When adopted by the City, the Bandon Comprehensive Plan will serve as a statement of policy to aid the City, other local governmental units, land developers, planners and citizens at large in guiding the future orderly growth and development of the Bandon area." - P. iii [4].
