City of Bandon inventory of coastal resources for the 1990 comprehensive plan
OR Z/Ba .2In8 ; 92 ; Cover title.; "December 31, 1977."; Includes ill. ; "The following pages contain an inventory of coastal resources for the City of Bandon. This inventory was compiled primarily to provide information to aid the Planning Steering Committee in understanding impacts and relationships among the coastal resources, and to help them to designate uses and policies for those resources. The coastal resources involved include those associated with the Coquille River estuary, the beaches, dunes and shorelands, and the resources of the ocean as they impact the City of Bandon. It is hoped that this inventory material will also help to provide the general citizenry of Bandon with a document useful for many other purposes, and that it may contribute in some small way to the justifiable pride the citizens hold for their unique city: Bandon-by-the-Sea. The material is organized under three general headings: (1) The Ocean and Its Influence, (2) The River and the Estuary, and (3) The South Jetty and the Bluff. This "geographical" organization was chosen as being the most natural for general use." - P. ii [7].
