The aim of this thesis is to analyze the development of traditional forms of trade, starting with the marketplace and ending with the shopping center, in order to understand the impact of e-commerce on commercial architecture. The study examines the relationship of commercial architecture and the need for creation of social image. In conclusion, a model of commercial architectural design is suggested, which aims to propose a new contemporary concept . The thesis consists of three parts: 1. The first part examines the development of commercial architecture, the relationship of trade forms and its consumers, while defining the concept of architectural image. 2. The second part discusses the formation and commercialization of one’s social image. 3. The third part combines the first two. The links between architecture and social image are demonstrated, new concept of commercial architecture is proposed.
