Huge power project at Chute-des-Passes
Project built by Aluminum Co of Canada, utilizes waters of Peribonka River to develop hydroelectric energy through underground power station and system of tunnels; principal features include completely submerged intake in reservoir, intake control structure, concrete lined 34-ft diam pressure tunnel 31,000 ft long; transmission line 100 mi long will carry power to Isle Maligne at 380,000 v; constructional procedures.
