Earthfill dam 800 ft long, 200 ft wide at toe, and containing 230,000 cu yd earth and rock, is being built in wet, without benefit of cofferdams; impervious fill was used for core of dam; semipervious material was placed on top of impervious fill, and 1 ft sand and gravel blanket was placed on side slopes and further protected by 2 ft of rock riprap; reinforced concrete spillway is supported on timber piles; work stages illustrated.
