Sanitary and storm drainage problems on Toronto's new subway
Planning required at Yonge St rapid transit subway in Toronto in installation of drainage facilities and reconstruction of municipal sewers within right-of-way; it was necessary to replace local and trunk sewers 8 to 12 ft below surface of ground and to divert main flow as well as to install four inverted syphons to carry flow across under the structure.
