Short-distance slushing scraper mounted on belt conveyor for roadways in narrow workings, and on armored conveyor in roadways accompanying faces, produced excellent solution to problems of driving bottom roadways; it enabled very rapid advances to be made with high output and at improved costs; by using scraper with slusher-ramp in top roadway of advancing faces, heading face is worked with scraper and pack walls are built at top of face with scraper.
