Behavior in flexure of reinforced lightweight-aggregate (Lytag) concrete beams
Results of tests carried out on 28 sintered pulverized-fuel ash concrete beams are reported; study is made of behavior of Lytag concrete beams with particular reference to ultimate load, deflection and visible cracking characteristics in flexure; it is shown that load factors are very satisfactory and that flexural cracks at steel stress of 30,000 psi would not exceed 10× 10-3 in., crack width regarded as permissible for conventional gravel concrete beams. (See also n 694 May 1964 p 597-601)
