Multi-layer lining for reservoir
Baldwin Hills Reservoir of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power having capacity of 900 acre ft has been made impervious below 65 ft depth of water by 3 in. asphaltic pavement, 10 ft compacted earthfill, 4 in. layer of porous concrete to collect and direct possible seepage, and asphaltic membrane as final water seal against earth of subgrade; work stages shown in photographs.
