Spherically symmetric elastic-plastic shock propagation
Study to determine response of medium to applied pressure of certain type when peak pressure is large enough to produce yielding yet small enough to permit assumption of small strains; infinite medium initially at rest and containing spherical cavity when medium is elastic perfectly plastic material governed by Von Mises yield condition was considered; finite difference procedure is used to obtain solution for given applied pressure; in determination of solution in plasticized region between cavity and plastic shock.
