A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Investigation was made to determine safest and most economical way of building four-lane concrete highway for 30 mi west of Kingston, Ont, where local dolomitic-limestone aggregates might show expansive reactivity in concrete in presence of alkali; data were obtained in laboratory on factors that influence degree of expansion and effect of alkalies from source other than cement.
