Circular plates loaded into plastic region
Method is presented for calculating stress field in symmetrically loaded circular plates that are stressed into plastic region; analogy between plastic strain gradients and normal forces is applied; incremental plastic strains are obtained by use of Reuss-Mises incremental polyaxial inelastic stress-strain relationship; method does not require iteration and may be extended to rectangular plates; results of example problem are included.
