Investigation of factors which affected air change rates in patient rooms and air transfer between these rooms at hospital ward unit designed on "race-track" principle; tests were conducted with ward fully air conditioned and partially naturally ventilated; main factors were isolated and prediction equations in terms of these factors, for transfer from room to room, are given; implications of equations and their possible use in design of hospital ward ventilation schemes are discussed.
