Aerial cableway platforms on large dam construction sites
Notable economy results from rational application of potential flexural resistance (in horizontal plane) of steel trestles supporting cableway and loading platforms; in design proposed it is sufficient to allow for single anchorage towards each extremity of platform; very reliable method of achieving this anchorage was applied in construction of radial traveling cableway at Monteynard dam which is described in detail.
