A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Construction of steel tower pylons by means of hydraulically lifted platform; and spinning of 59.7 cm diam cables, consisting of 11,000 wires 4.28 mm diam each, 157.5 kg/sq cm ultimate strength, are described; details are given of roadway-carrying construction consisting of 2 longitudinal trusses, each 9 m high, stiffened by transverse girders.
