Concrete roads of northern Paris freeway system
On improved subgrade of fine sand constituting completion of earthworks and partially stabilized in place by cement treatment, roadways are composed of foundation course of gravel-cement of thickness varying between 11 and 22 cm and concrete slab of thickness varying between 25 and 28 cm; number of tests were made concerning behavior of concrete and functioning of various equipments used.
