A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Sound spectra obtained in underground tunnels of various lengths are presented, and formulas are given for sound attenuation and reverberation time; ways of absorbing low frequency noise by application of open neck resonators or resonant panels are discussed; results obtained in several underpass tunnels in France were satisfactory.
