Prediction of rock movements by elastic theory compared with in-situ measurements
Elastic theory of ground movements caused by longwall workings; work is largely concerned with isotropic ground which is probably applicable to some hard rock mining areas; comparison of analysis with in-situ measurements shows that under certain conditions it should be possible to predict changes in stress, strain, and displacement in ground caused by longwall working.
