New lambeth bridge
Bridge replaces old wire-rope suspension bridge over Thames River; has total length of 776 ft and consists of 5 spans; deck has 36-ft roadway and two 12-ft pathways; central span measures 165 ft and is flanked on each side by span of 149 ft and one of 125 ft; each is composed of nine steel arched ribs; erection was carried out by means of 20-t cranes set up on piers and abutments.
