History of new cathedral and final project; cathedral is conical-shaped building, surmountod by stained-glass lantern 45 ft in diam and 70 ft in height; immediately under this is high altar, with baldachino suspended above it; lantern has 16 panels ranging in color from predominantly red, through colors of spectrum, to predominantly indigo; there are three areas, each spreading across three panels, in which colors are paler than surrounding parts to give effect of three 'bursts of light' symbolizing Holy Trinity; lighting design details of high altar, wave, structurally independent side chapels, etc.
