New multi-flue chimney
Notes on new precast concrete system of multi-flue chimney construction developed by design department of Mitchell Construction Kinnear Moodie Group, Ltd; first of its type, 50-ft high school boiler house chimney, was erected in 24 hr at grammar school; chimney consists of outer shell of 4-ft high, precast structural concrete units, 6 in. thick, of regular ellipse section, and inner shell of twin `D' shaped flue linings, 4 in. thick; linings are manufactured in moler concrete using high alumina cement and Bimol diatomaceous earth aggregate; diagram shows components; erection procedure is also indicated.
