Inelastic lateral-torsional buckling of beam columns
Problem of lateral-torsional buckling in beam columns is studied using analytical approach to detect stage at which inception of this type of instability is imminent; method adopted uses forward integration scheme for solving differential equations; results are presented in respect of 8W31 and 10WF89 with cross sections representative of thin-walled and moderately thin-walled columns, used in multistory buildings.
