Glen Finglas intake works
Water flow in Turk river varies from 0.4 to 1000 mgd; intake works are constructed of reinforced and mass concrete and extend for 200 ft across river between training walls on either bank; fully automatic intake will divide river flow to meet requirements that no water should be abstracted when river flow is below 10 mgd, and that at greater flows, 10 mgd must pass to river; in high floods, flows in excess of 70 mgd will also pass to river over overflow weir; construction of diversion tunnel and outlet channel.
