A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Combined hydroelectric and irrigation development in eastern Australia involves construction of nine major dams of height greater than 200 ft, 12 lesser ones, 15 power stations, most of them hundreds of feet underground, over 80 mi of major tunnels, and 400 mi of aqueducts and race-lines to pick up waters at high altitudes and head them into storages and tunnels.
