Horizontal shear connection in composite concrete beams under repeated loads
Research reported was investigation of strength of joint between precast concrete beam and cast-in-place slab when composite beam was subjected to repeated loading; test program included 29 beams and principal variables were amount of joint reinforcement, roughness of joint, and ratio of shear span to effective depth of beam; equations are presented which yield conservative allowable stress for horizontal shear in composite members under repeated loads.
