Structural design of concrete lining of tunnels of Ramganga dam
Design of linings for tunnels of dam under construction in Uttar Pradesh, India; two tunnels are provided for diversion of river flow during period of construction of dam; after need for diversion is over, one tunnel is converted into power tunnel and other utilized as outlet works; steel sets were installed to support roof and sides of tunnels and these were later utilized as reinforcement for lining; loading conditions for diversion and final stage are discussed; new concepts developed in tunnel design are given.
