Construction was carried out under most difficult conditions due to uninterrupted railway traffic overhead, and by high ground water line caused by proximity of Seine river; description of construction of walls cast in soil with aid of bentonite mud, lowering of water table by means of filtering wells, and steam curing of precast reinforced concrete elements of cover plate.
