Corrosion prevention for structural steel in construction industry
Several billions of dollars will be spent for new construction in United States; much of this will be for structural steel shapes used in construction industry; inevitably, this steel will corrode so measures must be taken to limit its damage; some of these measures, as well as description of mechanism of steel corrosion, are discussed; intended to be only introduction to structural steel corrosion for architects, building engineers, and owners, who have increasing responsibility to learn more about protection of structural steel.
