Illustrated data on drilling and blasting of 560,000 cu yd of rock for Downsville dam project and of 165,000 cu yd for highway; holes are drilled with Worthington and MW-6 Joy wagon drills and are loaded with 1 1/4 × 8-in. cartridges of Gelamite 2 using 0.66 lb of dynamite to 1 cu yd of rock; charges are primed with Hercules Short Period Delay Electric Blasting Caps Nos 1 to 9.
