1,600,000 cu yd of material will be placed in embankment now being built across Big Elk Creek in Palisades Dam reservoir area; central portion of embankment is obtained from roadway excavation; both slopes, 1:2, have layer of riprap; final dimensions of embankment will be 301 ft high from lowest point of excavation to crest, 40 ft wide and 2100 ft at crest.
