How to prevent defect in heavy ingots, in form of bulging at major surfaces; lateral folds on slabs and fissures in middle of rimming steel ingot major surfaces can be eliminated by using ingot mold designs in which slabbing mill deformation conditions are taken into consideration recommendations for reducing waste of metal.
