Folded-plates come in many shapes, erected in many ways
Increasing use of folded plate construction and variety of erection techniques are discussed; cast-in-place or precast concrete, prestressed concrete, plywood and steel-framed timber are materials more often used in plate construction; due to ability to span long distances with relatively little material folded plates are frequently used to roof hangars, plants and auditoriums when large column-free interiors are required; examples of folded plate construction are given.
