Dock 400 ft long has 96-ft beam, total height of 53 ft 4 in. and weighs about 13,000 tons; dewatering of dock is accomplished with 24 motor driven suction pumps; air entraining agent was added to concrete to increase impermeability and durability; 20% by weight of cement was replaced with fly ash; project involved 2000 cu yd of precast and poured in place construction.
