Set of wellpoints about 12 ft. long, 2 ft. center to center, were connected by means of short sections of rubber hose, with 6-inch manifold, completely surrounding pit; sump constructed; as result of combined effect of wellpoints, square well and surface drainage, underground remained practically undisturbed.
